Private safaris across Tanzania and East Africa

Tailor-made East Africa safaris, using our experience since 1992

We are a small, family-owned safari company based in Arusha. We plan private trips with experienced guides and camps chosen for the route, not simply from a list.

About Eastco

We plan each safari individually

Eastco has been operating safaris in Tanzania and across East Africa since 1992. We remain a small company, based in Arusha and involved in the planning of every trip.

Tell us when you want to travel, what you would particularly like to see and how you prefer to travel. We will put together a sensible route and recommend the camps that work best for it. Our safaris are private, with your own vehicle and guide.

Why Eastco

What we think matters on safari

A good guide, a route that makes sense and enough time in each place matter more than trying to fit everything into one trip.

01

Experienced private guides

We believe the guide makes the trip. Most of our guides have worked across East Africa for many years.

02

Experience since 1992

We know the parks, the distances between them and which camps suit different routes.

03

Private departures

Your vehicle, guide and daily plans are not shared with an unrelated group.

04

Smaller camps

Where possible, we use smaller camps and lodges in good wildlife areas.

A few common questions

What is an East Africa safari?

It can be a focused trip in one country or a longer route combining wildlife areas such as the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Masai Mara, with gorilla trekking or the coast added where time allows.

When should I travel?

That depends on where you want to go and what you most want to see. Tell us your dates and we will explain which areas make sense at that time of year.

How long should I allow?

Ten to fourteen days works well for many trips. A Tanzania safari can be shorter, while a multi-country safari normally needs more time.

Can Eastco combine countries?

Yes. We arrange private safaris in Tanzania and can combine them with Kenya, Uganda or Rwanda.
