Our budget-friendly safaris combine adventure camping with lodges or tented camps, ensuring an immersive wildlife experience without overspending. Every trip is guided by our experienced and well-respected team. The cost of a budget-friendly safari varies based on the trip length and group size, starting at approximately $220 per person per day. Prices may increase slightly for nights spent in premium parks such as Serengeti and Ngorongoro.
Comfortable Camping on a Budget-Friendly Safari
All camping equipment is locally crafted by Tanzanian tent makers using Morogoro Canvas products. Our large walk-in dome tents measure 3.0 to 3.5 meters square, offering a spacious and comfortable stay in the wilderness. Each tent includes camp cot-style beds with mattresses, cotton sheets, towels, and wool blankets, ensuring a restful night outdoors. We also provide proper pillows, towels, bath soap, and toilet paper.
For groups larger than eight, we set up a mess tent with a long covered trestle table and comfortable fisherman’s stools with green canvas backs for each client. Meals are plentiful and of high quality, with dietary preferences accommodated upon request. Breakfast features fresh fruits, cereals, sausages, bacon, eggs, and toast, while dinner is a hearty three-course meal. Picnic lunches are prepared for convenient dining during game drives.
Facilities and Campsites for an Affordable Safari Experience
We use National Park campsites in Serengeti and Ngorongoro, where park authorities provide European-style toilets and hot showers. If needed, our staff can arrange hot bucket showers upon request. In remote locations like Mkomazi, Sand River, and Sadaani, we set up shower and toilet tents to ensure comfort.
For private safaris in Serengeti and Ngorongoro, we offer exclusive campsites equipped with shower and toilet tents. In the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, we dig long-drop toilets and provide a tripod toilet seat along with a shower tent with heated water for a seamless camping experience.
